  1. A Rational Man

I see basically what you are teaching works. Works lead to salvation and blessing, right?
Well rationally this is true, isn’t? If you do not go to work you shall not get paid. If you go to work you will get paid. So yes we should all work harder and smarter that we may be blessed and saved from poverty.

No one ever got bless by staying at home meditating. Preach on…………..

    • Those who love the Lord will bless Him with their works.
Salvation is by faith and not by works. Our works is a result of
the relationship we have with Christ.
      James 2:17-18

17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
      KJV

Rational Man is misinterpreting Rev. M. Mitchell’s message, again! I am sure Rational man knows that Rev Mitchell isn’t preaching a works based salvation.

I just want to thank the Rev Mitchell so much for this blog!

For the past two week the congregation I am a member of hasn’t been meeting for fellowship. This blog has been a life saver for me and my wife. I know it isn’t a real Church but we have been having fellowship in our home with a few other Christians each Wednesday and Sunday. We sing, pray, read the text from the Bible and then one of members will read Rev Mitchell’s comments on the Bible verse and well have a time of group discussion on the verse while having a snack.

    Thank you so much!

    • Where two or more are gathered, Christ is present.
You are the Church. The Church of Jesus Christ is not
defined by a physical building. It is defined by people
who love the Lord worshiping Him.

The first Churches after the death and resurrection of Christ
were held in the homes of believers.
Keep on having Church. You are God’s ministers

      Love

  4. A Good Catholic

Dear Action Jackson (and all others) I assume you must be protestant. If so while you are unable to join with your other community of faith please take some time to think about what Church really is, where it started, and look back at the earliest stages in Christian history. What Church do you see in the now ancient past? Do see the numerous thousands of denominations back then? Do you see great division on theology, and believes or do you see one true Church?

Yes, Action Jackson, it is time for you and any others on this blog to take action and join yourselves with the one true Holy Catholic Church!

    • The Apostle Paul said, “I determine to know nothing but Jesus Christ
and Him crucified” 1 Cor 2:2

There will always be different interpretations of God’s Word.
We will not always agree with each other. But if we can agree on
the resurrected Savior Jesus Christ , we all are headed toward heaven
in a deeper understanding of His Love for us.

A Good Catholic is almost correct. The Roman catholic used to be in communion of the greater Catholic(universal Church) better know as the Orthodox Church. It is the Orthodox and it’s autonomous communities that have always had truly had apostolic succession. Today many evangelical Christians have given up on Protestantism after realizing that Protestantism claims to orthodoxy have been misled.

During these times of trouble, it is high time that all Christians come together and worship in truth and unity which can only be done through the one true universal Holy Church the Orthodox Church.

    Let’s get it back together!

    • Let us not focus on religious denominations, but Jesus Christ
      the source of our salvation.

When we get to heaven, God will not ask what Church we were
a member in. The question will be did you love Christ enough to
      surrender your life to Him?

In my opinion all monotheistic faiths Christianity, Judaism, the Baháʼí, Sikhism, Islam, Bábism, Zoroastrianism, Deism, or any of the other great monotheistic are paths that lead to God. We, people of faith need to stop fighting with each other and stand together in these dark times.

  7. Mark a Christian

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (KJV 14:6)

  8. A Rational Man

Correct Mark! The above is stand that classical Christendom has historically unanimously preached and taught for over two thousand years. It is only in last 100 years that some people and groups have begun to embrace an ecumenical universalism.

  9. Action Jackson

Well, I know or at a least I am very sure that Rev. Mitchell has been teaching the historic gospel message here on this blog!

No one can leave this site thinking that there is more than one way to heaven or that all religions are some how equally true!. No, there is only one way to the father and that is through Jesus Christ!

  10. Janet H

I really enjoyed the message this post!

  11. I thank all of you for your discussions. Faith comes by hearing and hearing
by the Word of God. We cannot handle God’s Word without being affected by
it. The more we study God’s Word, the more we will grow in the Love
    Of Jesus Christ
